Bio

Jo is a passionate changemaker committed to improving the lives of people and animals while safeguarding the planet. With a deep-rooted belief in the power of human behavioural science, she applies evidence-based approaches to drive meaningful change across diverse sectors and issues.

Holding an MSc in Behaviour Change, a Degree in Equine and Business Studies, and a Certificate in Campaigns, Jo brings a rich and varied academic foundation to her work. Her career has spanned global projects, each shaped by her curiosity, compassion, and drive to make a difference.

As co-founder of the social enterprise HBCL, alongside Suzanne Rogers, Jo supports fellow changemakers in understanding the complexities of human behaviour - why people act as they do, and how we might support, enable and help them to behave differently. Her work is grounded in empathy and insight, often tackling messy human problems to provide clarity and creativity to uncover solutions that deliver real impact.

Jo thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the challenge of turning behavioural science into practical tools for change. Whether working on animal welfare, environmental sustainability, human wellbeing or social justice and opportunity, she brings a unique blend of rigour and heart to everything she does.
