Wastesmiths is a social enterprise for the ‘waste age’. An age when the most abundant resource for building the future is waste materials. Central to Wastesmiths environmental and social purpose is facilitating change in what people value, the perceived value of waste materials and also the value we place on ourselves, each other and the natural environment. Wastesmiths organises grassroots plastic recycling, a sustainable fashion collective, and a creative gardening project, to build community around reducing the impact of human waste on the environment. We develop and deliver regular community building sessions, combining creativity with purposeful activity, creating meaningful change.
